Even when things are heavy, there's always the peace that comes from knowing everything is temporary. All the hopes for the future, and the weight that often comes with the present co-exist with us all the time. For me, keeping at least one eye on brighter days ahead, allows me to not get overwhelmed when things are heavy....there's a release just on the other side of the dark clouds. All the years I spent not making art feel heavy to me at times, but I am continually focusing on the future and letting go of the weight of wasted time. It's a process, but so worth it.
