I love seeing storm clouds form over the ocean, and I especially enjoy seeing the lightning. I'm aware that the storm is several miles out and I'm just feeling some of the mist on the air, while I enjoy the spectacle. Sometimes though, you realize the storm is headed right for the beach, and often, if I've misjudged, I get wet before making it to shelter.

I have pretty much traveled through life this way, sort of waiting to see if something would happen. All of my childhood and 20's were spent this way, just enjoying the ride. Maybe it's my creative nature that always allowed me to be comfortable with just being present. I think it's still a positive outlook, but I realize now that moving ships still have to be steered, or you'll end up shipwrecked. I'm so thankful that I can see the value now of setting intentions, and working toward the things I want...and I can still enjoy the ride as much as any child. I'm so grateful for my life and the lessons I'm still learning. The horizon is always a perfect destination when you're monitoring your course.
